GUIDED TOURS PULSANO. We will meet in Pulsano’s marina to start our walking tour along the Lido Silvana beach in the middle of the Mediterranean scrubland and the different archaeological finds testifying the presence of a commercial port, a Roman villa dating back to the 1st century A.D., some greek and roman shipwrecks and one of the earliest prehistoric settlements of the Ionian coast dating back to the 16th century. b.C, located on a promontory and gradually descending to the sea. It is exactly here that stoically stands from the 16th century A.D. the Castelluccia Tower, one of the 140 defensive towers of the Apulian coast built during the Spanish domination to alert from the Turkish’s attacks.
We will then cross a stretch of the Caggione wood to finally reach the beautiful Serrone bay where we can enjoy an aperitif in front of one of the most beautiful sunsets of the tarantine east coast.
